About Molly
I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington with many years of additional training and workshops in the mental health field. I have worked in the helping professions for more than 25 years. For twelve of those years I have worked as a therapist with individuals, couples and families with adolescents of different economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds addressing a full range of issues such as couple and parent/teen conflict, depression/suicide, anxiety/panic, anger, trauma, physical and sexual abuse, drug and alcohol abuse and addiction, learning disabilities, sexual intimacy and grief and dying. Besides working as a private therapist I have worked as a therapist in Seattle and Olympia in several hospitals and youth agencies, a drug and alcohol treatment center, a high school, in homes of adolescents and their families for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, and a psychiatric halfway house. Experience as a therapist and working with HIV/AIDS patients, low income youth in Scotland, Bosnian and Croatian refugees in Croatia, and Athabaskan children in Alaska has given me a great respect for the power of the human spirit to arise above the most tragic and forlorn human conditions.
One of my greatest joys in life is to help people move from suffering and surviving to experiencing happiness through greater satisfaction in their relationships and work.
